Foundation for Andover Schools awards educator grants
Congrats to the Robert Martin Elementary staff who received a grant from the Foundation for Andover Schools!
Below is a summary of grants. Thank you to The Foundation for their support!
- Dana Brosch, kindergarten teacher, Robert Martin Elementary: VersaTiles help students build math proficiency in a vigorous, rewarding way. To be used in small groups or for independent practice, VersaTiles provide teachers the means to support student learning using a challenging puzzle format. By funding this grant, each kindergarten classroom would have a kit providing students with a hands-on way to practice specific math skills as well as address math content gaps.
- Troy Smith, counselor, Robert Martin Elementary: This grant will provide our students with some options for learning and practicing social/emotional learning through games. These games are meant to be used with all ages of students and meet the social/emotional needs of our students that need additional attention and teaching in the social/emotional areas. This includes anger management, social skills, emotional regulation, etc.
