We are very excited to let you know that the “Holiday Hugs” program is back again for 2021 to honor our awesome Martin teachers. If you are unfamiliar with this program, it is a PTO-sponsored activity meant to help take some of the guesswork out of purchasing holiday gifts for your child’s teachers and the support staff that work with them. In lieu of a personal gift, we’d love for you to consider helping restock their classrooms/offices with much-needed items this holiday season.
We will be using the website teacherlists.com again this year. It is an online collection of all 2021 Holiday Hugs lists created by the teachers and support staff. In an effort to go paperless and to keep track of purchases, the lists will be found on the website. We encourage you to visit the online lists so you can pledge your purchases in order to avoid duplicates; this feature is one of the great things about the website. Teachers get what they need and parents can mark the item(s) off the list once purchased!
Check out teacherlists.com, click on “Parents Find a List”, enter Martin’s zip code, 67228, and find the individual Holiday Hugs lists, which are labeled 2021 Holiday Hugs, with the individual teacher/support staff member(s) listed below that. Consider also supporting our talented support staff during your holiday shopping! You can browse all of these lists on the website.
Students may bring their “hugs” as early as Monday, November 29 th and continue to deliver them through December 17 th . Gift wrapping is optional, but we do encourage a gift tag or note so the teacher/staff member knows who to thank! (Remember, teachers LOVE gift cards, too!)
If you are out shopping, and forget the website and login, look for a reminder post on Facebook on the Robert M Martin Elementary Parent Teacher Organization page or the Martin Mamas page.
Thank you for your generosity to our teachers and staff! Have fun delivering your “hugs” this holiday season!
