ROBERT MARTIN

My schedule varies daily.  I get to meet with each K-5 class monthly for 45 or 50 minutes. The children will have an opportunity to explore various careers;  meet with me in a small group for a lesson or to do an activity together; and choose from among free choice stations, giving them the opportunity to practice social skills as well as meet their sensory needs.  At the creation station, children will have an opportunity to give to others, as they will create get well cards or cards of encouragement for residents at our community nursing center and hospital. 

In addition to class lessons, I will meet with small groups or individuals as needed throughout the day according to childrens’ needs.  Some of the small groups offered are . . . 

• “Banana Splits” for children affected by death, divorce, or separation
• “Confidence Builders” for improving children’s self-esteem
• “Anger Management”
• “Friendship”
• “Social Skills”
